Inspire Software 10.3 Release 

Important Announcement for All Users:

If you integrate with Microsoft Outlook, you must reconnect your integration to Outlook in Inspire.

Navigate to your Profile, Integration tab, then click Connect to have your Outlook tasks and calendars reappear.

 

In 10.2, AI moved in where the work happens. In 10.3, it shows up everywhere you work. The Inspire Agent now suggests the right prompts for the module you're in, company admins can make it speak in their own voice, and your own AI assistant can do far more inside Inspire. You also get a new Power BI integration, a downloadable Performance Agreement and a better 1-1 experience.

Top Highlights:

  • The Inspire Agent, everywhere: Creating objectives and planning tasks now open guided conversations with the Agent, and the chat suggests prompts that fit the module you're working in.
  • Make the Agent your own: Company admins can write their own daily greetings and prompts, turn on an Onboarding mode for new users, and set AI credit limits.
  • Bring Your Own AI, expanded: Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT and other assistants can now add contributors and key results, manage corporate strategy, write 1-1 private notes, work with performance comments, give recognition and search the Inspire Help Center.
  • Power BI integration: Sync Key Result progress straight from Power BI reports, included for every client at no added cost.
  • Better 1-1s: See Corporate Key Results in the 1-1 module and keep the conversation open while you review Key Result progress.
  • Performance Agreement download: Download a clean, shareable Performance Agreement report that matches the Appraisal report.

 

 

The Inspire Agent, Everywhere

Value: Users get a more helpful AI partner in the places they already work, and admins get the controls to shape it and roll it out with confidence.

 

The Inspire Agent now drives the AI experience across Inspire, so every AI moment is a conversation you can shape instead of a single canned answer.

For users

Note: If your admin has enabled this capability, then you'll have these following features available to you.
  • Create objectives with the Agent: Choosing "Enter my own ideas" in My Objectives opens the Agent with "Help me create an objective" ready to go.
  • Brainstorm tasks with the Agent: "Suggest tasks" on the Objective Activity widget opens the Agent to help you plan tasks that move your objectives forward.
  • Prompts that fit where you are: In Objectives, Strategy, 1-1, Recognition, Performance or Plan, the chat side panel shows that module's top prompts instead of the general daily list.
  • Favorite prompts: Mark the prompts you use most as favorites and find them again in one click.
  • Easier-to-find Prompts button: A redesigned Prompts button matches the prompt library design, so it's obvious at a glance.
  • Daily prompts in priority order: Daily prompts are ranked by priority so the most important actions show up first.
  • New prompt categories: A new Strategy category joins the library, Getting Started is now Onboarding, and categories for modules your company doesn't use stay hidden.
  • Respects your privacy settings: When your admin sets new objectives to Private by default, objectives created through AI follow that rule too.

For administrators

  • Your own greetings and prompts: Turn on company-level daily greetings and daily prompts, then add, edit or remove them. Your content appears first, and Inspire's prompts fill any open slots.
  • Onboarding mode: Give new users a simple welcome greeting and the top six Onboarding prompts while they get started. Users can switch it off when they're ready.
  • AI credit limits: Each user gets a weekly AI credit limit based on your company default, and you can view or adjust any user's limit under Admin > Org Management > Licenses > AI.

              Bring Your Own AI: Do More from Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT and More

              Value: Your team can manage OKRs, strategy, roles, performance and recognition from the AI tools they already use every day, with the same security and permissions as Inspire itself.

              The Inspire MCP servers can now read and update much more of Inspire, so the AI assistant you already use can do real work for you. Permissions, audit trails and tenant isolation work the same as in 10.2.

              Objectives and Key Results

              • Add contributors to new or existing objectives.
              • Add or delete key results on an existing objective.
              • Set a contributor's priority ranking on an objective.
              • Check in with progress, status and flags (General, Win, Setback, Initiative).
              • Read and update an objective's phase of performance, using your company's own name for it.
              • See private objectives you have rights to, such as your own or your direct reports', following Inspire's visibility rules.
              • Ask who's contributing to any objective or key result.

              Corporate Strategy

              • Create corporate strategies and update their status (Draft, Published, Active, Archived).
              • Read corporate objectives, and create or edit corporate key results.

              Roles, 1-1s and People

              • Read and update roles, including the new Perspective attribute for professional and personal roles.
              • Check in against a professional role, and review role check-in history.
              • Add 1-1 agenda items to a specific week, and write 1-1 private notes such as coaching ideas.
              • Set your primary and secondary DISC type.

              Performance

              • Read performance cycles, summaries and detailed comments.
              • Add and update mid-cycle, self-assessment and appraisal comments for objectives, competencies and values.
              • Look up your company's competency and value definitions.

              Recognition

              • See recognition given and received, including award, headline, comment and points.
              • Give recognition with a headline and a personal comment.

              Help Center answers

              • Ask your AI how to do something in Inspire, and it searches the Inspire Help Center and links you to the right article.

              Adoption insights

              • Ask about weekly engagement (logins, 1-1s and recognition), widget and feature usage, and Quick Start onboarding progress.

               

               

              Integrations: Power BI

              Value: Your OKRs reflect real business data automatically, so check-ins focus on what the numbers mean, not on typing them in.

              Key Results can now pull their progress straight from Power BI, included for every Inspire client with no add-on or extra license.

              • Simple admin setup: Turn on Power BI from Admin > Integrations, the same way you set up Tableau today.
              • Progress from your reports: In the Key Result edit screen, choose Power BI under "Select Source of Progress," then pick the report and filter criteria to track.
              • Always current: Key Result progress stays in sync with the data your teams already trust, with no manual updates.

                     

                     

                    Corporate Strategy & Objectives 

                    Value: Strategy reads in plain language for everyone, and building large OKRs is smoother.

                    The Corporate Strategy Board is easier to read for people who don't speak OKR shorthand.

                    • Show or hide strategy terminology: Two new Board view settings, Show Objective Terminology and Show Key Result Terminology, let you hide the CO, OBJ, LTKR, CKR, KR and Aligned Item badges. Both stay on by default, so nothing changes unless you turn them off.
                    • Enlarge Key Result descriptions: An Enlarge button on the Key Result description field in Edit Objective gives you room to write, just like the Objective description.
                    • Faster editing for large OKRs: Edit Objective is now much quicker on objectives with many key results and contributors.

                     

                     

                    Performance

                    Value: Managers can share agreements with leaders and employees in a polished, readable format.

                    • Download the Performance Agreement: A new Download Report action produces a clean Performance Agreement document in the same style as the Assessment and Appraisal reports, including the questionnaire section.
                    • Faster performance cycles: Loading a cycle's objectives is noticeably quicker.

                     

                     

                    1-1

                    Value: Managers and employees can connect weekly conversations to Key Results and company priorities in one place.

                    • Corporate Key Results in 1-1s: See the Corporate Key Results that matter to you right inside the 1-1 module, and expand any of them for progress and details without leaving the conversation.
                    • Conversations next to Key Results: Keep your 1-1 conversation open in a side panel while the Key Result panel is open, and comment on progress without closing either one.

                     

                     

                    Additional Enhancements

                    Value: The homepage reads in plain language for every user, and Inspire feels faster day to day.

                    • Rename homepage widgets: Give the Embed Web Content widget a custom title, and rename the Objective Activity widget from its settings menu.
                    • Default widget title for admins: Admins can set a default Objective Activity widget title under Manage Navigation. A title a user sets still takes priority.
                    • Refreshed Simple Gratitude icons: Simple Gratitude recognition programs that haven't been customized now use Inspire's updated award icons.
                    • Fairer Quick Start credit: The "Create an objective" Quick Start step now gives credit only to the objective's owner, not to contributors on someone else's objective.
                    • Okta sign-in update: Companies that sign in with Okta get an updated authentication experience, and Okta users can connect Excel and Planner when using Microsoft 365 planning.
                    • Faster navigation: Moving between pages is quicker, with behind-the-scenes improvements to how objectives load.
