Inspire Integration

Using Microsoft Planner in Inspire

If your Organization has enabled the Planner Integration, this article will detail how to integrate Planner tasks with Key Results in Inspire.

  • Enter an Objective and Key Result(s) 

  • Edit Key Results - Click the Pencil Icon 
  • Scroll to the bottom and Select Select Source of Progress
  • Select Planner

  • Select a Plan
  • Add Filters to Buckets/Labels/Assigned To (Optional)
  • Select the Task(s) you would like to link to your Key Result (Select All / Select None)

  • After selecting the Tasks  you wish to track, click Apply
  • You will see the Planner icon within the Contributor list section to indicate you have now integrated your Key Result with Planner. 

Note: Open Planner option will take you to Microsoft Planner in your Web browser. 

Note: If you add Planner to a Key Result, the Key Result will be locked down as a Percentage Key Result. 

 

In the Objective side panel or check-in side panel for each Key Result with a Planner integration, you can click on the logo/icon of the integration source of progress to sync progress immediately.

If you set up the integration with Planner for that Key Result, you can also click the information "info" button (next to Planner logo) to view a read-only modal displaying a list of tasks associated with the KR.

Note: Only the user who set up the integration with Planner for the Key Result will be able to view the read-only modal list of tasks when clicking the "info" icon.
