Create an Objective with Inspire AI Assistant

Inspire’s AI goal-setting tools improve the quality of OKRs by applying industry best practices to establish qualitative objectives that describe business value and quantitative key results that are measurable.

Navigation

Click the Modules menu icon in the upper right corner, then select the Objectives module.

Click the +Add drop-down menu and then select Create with Inspire AI Assistant.

Note: The option to Create with Inspire AI Assistant is also accessible from the Objective Activity widget. 

Create an Objective with Inspire AI Assistant

The Create Objective modal opens. Use the Choose starting point drop-down to select how you want to begin: 

  • Align to Corporate Strategy: Enter your team type or department, and then select the strategic key result that your objective will align to. Generate an objective with key results that will impact the strategic key result's progress.   
  • Select from Examples: Choose your perspective from the balanced scorecard list, then select an example objective. Enter optional details, then generate a new objective with key results. 
Prefer a conversation? Click Create Objective with AI Agent Chat to open a chat window and build your objective with the Inspire AI Agent.

Align to Corporate Strategy

Select Align to Corporate Strategy from the Choose starting point drop-down. Optionally, enter your team or department in the Team Type field. Your team type is taken into consideration when generating an objective so that the OKR is more relevant to you.

Click Select Vertical Alignment, then select a strategic key result you wish to impact. Click Apply.

Click Generate New Objective at the top of the modal. You will be provided with an objective title, description, and key results. If you would like a different OKR, click Generate New Objective again. By default, five key results will be created. Select Generate New Key Result if you wish to add more key results to your objective. 

If you like the results, click Create to finish the Objective. The Objective details will be populated, and you can make any further edits you wish. 

Select from Examples

Select from Examples from the Choose starting point drop-down. Then choose your Perspective from the drop-down menu. Examples are categorized by the balanced scorecard perspectives: Finance, Customer, Learning, Process, and Other. 

Select an example objective and enter any additional details if desired. Click Generate New Objective at the top of the modal.
