Filtering Corporate Strategy by Department and Business Unit
Filtering Inspire’s Corporate Strategy makes it easy to focus on the Objectives and Key Results that matter most to you.
Business Unit and Department selections are tied directly to each Corporate Key Result (CKR) and Long-Term Key Result (LTKR).
This ensures more accurate, role-relevant visibility across strategic planning and reporting and gives the user a clear snapshot of strategy progress.
Note to Admins: To ensure filtering is accurate, when editing Long Term Key Results and Corporate Quarterly Key Results, add the Department / Business Unit associated with each LTKR and CKR. See this article for more details: Adding Key Results to a Corporate Objective
When Filtering by Department and or Business Unit(s):
-
Only LTKRs/CKRs associated with the selected Department(s) / Business Unit(s) will display.
-
Long Term Key Results / Corporate Key Results not associated with the selected Department(s) / Business Unit(s) will be hidden.
- Multi-select is supported.
- Selections will persist between sessions.
Note:
If you add a CKR or LTKR to a strategy while BU/Department filters are applied, and the new KR is not associated with the filtered BUs or Departments:
-
You will see a prompt warning you that the KR will be filtered out and not visible based on your current filters.
-
This ensures you understand why the newly added KR may “disappear” immediately after creation.
⚠️ This Key Result will not be shown in the current view because it is not associated with the selected BU(s)/Department(s).
Note: If your organization does not have Business Units in Inspire, only the Department Filter will show.
