Using Filters in Your Newsfeed
The Newsfeed provides a real-time view of check-ins and updates within your organization. Use the available filters to quickly narrow down the activity feed to the most relevant information.
Accessing the Filters
The Newsfeed filters are available on both the Newsfeed widget (on a dashboard) and the dedicated Newsfeed page.
Available Filters and How They Work
Filter Name | Default State | Selection Type | Functionality | Key Notes/Tips |
Department | None selected | Multi-select | Filters the Newsfeed to show check-ins submitted by users who belong to the selected department(s). | Check-ins include: CKR, LTKR, Team Objectives, and Individual Objectives. |
Business Unit | None selected | Multi-select | Filters the Newsfeed to show check-ins submitted by users who belong to the selected business unit(s). | The previous option to "View by My Business Unit" has been removed. |
Strategic Category | None selected | Multi-select | Filters the Newsfeed to show check-ins for Key Results (KRs) that are aligned to the children within the selected strategic category (or categories). | This is useful for monitoring progress on initiatives tied to specific corporate strategies. |
How to Use the Filters
-
Locate the Filter Section: Find the filter options on the left most section on the Newsfeed interface.
-
Select a Filter: Click on the dropdown menu for the desired filter (e.g., Department, Business Unit, or Strategic Category).
-
Choose Selections: Since all filters support multi-select, you can check the boxes next to multiple items within that list (e.g., "Marketing," "Sales," and "HR").
-
Once your selections are made, the Newsfeed will automatically update to reflect the filtered activity and check-ins.
-
Clear Filters: To reset your view, return to the filter dropdowns and deselect the chosen items.
Tip: Using a combination of these filters will allow you to quickly focus on the progress of specific teams on objectives tied to particular corporate initiatives.
