# Objective Activity Widget

## Create, update and check-in on Objectives from your Inspire homepage using the Objective Activity Widget.

Once you have added the Objective Activity Widget to your homepage, follow the instructions below to easily manage your Objectives.

The widget automatically displays the first three Objectives in the list.  Be sure to click on **Show More** at the bottom of the widget to see any other Objectives listed.

#### Add an Objective

- Click the **Green +** button at the top right of the widget. 
- Select the type of Objective you wish to add.

- Enter your Title, Description and other desired Objective information.

- **Save** your new Objective. 

#### Add Tasks to an Objective

- Enter your task title in the **Add Task** field for an Objective.
- Click Enter or the **Green + button** to add your task to the Objective.

- To edit the task's details, such as setting a due date, click the **... Ellipsis button** on the task and then select **Edit**.

**NOTE:** To delete a task, click the **... Ellipsis button** on the task and then select **Delete**.

Optional: Add a Priority: High, Normal or Low to Prioritize your Tasks 

**NOTE:** Only tasks created this week, tasks due this week, and overdue tasks will display on the Objective Activity Widget. If a task is NOT due this week and the task was created last week, the task will **NOT** appear on the Objective Activity  Widget.  

#### Widget Settings

Customize how tasks display on the Objective Activity Widget by clicking the Settings button at the top right of the widget. This replaces the previous task priority filter dropdown.

Clicking the settings button opens a side panel with the following options:

**Sort By**

- Priority (default): Tasks are sorted by priority level, with high-priority tasks at the top.
- Due Date Ascending: Tasks are sorted from earliest due date to latest.
- Due Date Descending: Tasks are sorted from latest due date to earliest.
- Alphabetical: Tasks are sorted alphabetically by title.

**Task Priority**

- All Tasks (default): Shows all tasks regardless of priority.
- High Priority Tasks: Shows only high-priority tasks (marked with a red ! indicator).

**Display Due Date**

- Toggle this setting on to show due dates alongside each task in the widget. Default: off.

After setting your preferences, click Apply to update the widget. Click Cancel to close the settings panel without making changes.

Note: These are personal display preferences and only affect how your own Objective Activity Widget appears.

#### Check-In On Your Objective

1\. Click the **Check-In** button for the Objective you wish to update.

2\. Enter your status and update your progress.

3\. Click **Check-In** to save and post.

#### View and Edit Your Objective

- View your Objective's details by clicking on the **Objective title.**

- Edit your Objective by clicking the **Edit** button and update your Objective as desired.
- When you have finished making your updates, **Save** your Objective.

**TIP:** Objectives are displayed on the Objective Activity Widget in Priority order if a priority number has been included on the Objective, otherwise, they are displayed in alphabetical order.
