Configuring Slack Integration

This article outlines the process of configuring Slack Integration with Inspire.

Note: Before users can configure Slack integration, an Inspire Administrator at your organization must Enable Slack Integration.

Tip: When any user of a given Slack Workspace configures Inspire integration, The Inspire App will appear for all users of that workspace. This app will need to be configured by each user with the steps in this article before the app will display any content as the information displayed is user-specific.

To Configure Slack Integration with your Inspire account:

1. Navigate to the My Profile page by selecting your profile image (or initials) at the top-right of Inspire and selecting My Profile.

2. Navigate to the Integration tab and select Authenticate to Slack.

3. Enter your Workspace's Slack URL.

4. When prompted, Enter your Email Address associated with your Slack Workspace. A confirmation code will be emailed to you.

5. Enter the confirmation code that was emailed to you from Slack.

6. Select Allow to grant Inspire Notifications permission to your Slack Workspace. You can change workspaces using the drop-down menu at the top (Example Co. is selected in the screenshot below).

Note: At the time of this article creation, the Inspire Notifications Slack App is pending review and approval from the Slack team. Until Approval is granted, a red banner stating "This app is not approved by Slack" will appear on the permission screen.

7. Once Allowed, the Slack integration will show in Inspire as Authenticated. You may now begin Using Slack Integration.

To remove Slack integration from your Inspire account:

1. Navigate to My Profile > Integration tab.

2. Select the red button with trash can icon for Slack.
