Completing Mid-Cycle Performance Comments

Mid-Cycle Comments (If Enabled) is a built-in step to provide your employees a documented check-in partway through an annual cycle.

Mid-cycle comments allow participants to comment on their performance objectives and competencies throughout the performance cycle. The comments are added to the grade sheet and are visible in self assessments and appraisals.

NOTE: If enabled by your Performance Administrator, Mid-Cycle Comments are available to you after you have signed off on your Performance Agreement, and remain available until your Self-Assessment is submitted.

Here's how it works:

    • Once an employee's Performance Agreement is signed off, the Mid-Cycle Comments step becomes available.
    • The step stays open through the middle of the cycle and remains available right up until Self Assessments are submitted.
    • Both the employee and the supervisor have their own comment area to reflect on progress of each Objective (Goal) so far. Employees and Leaders can note wins, flag anything that's shifted, and add context against the objectives set at the start of the year.

Note: The Mid-Cycle Step is marked complete when an employee and their leader add their comments.

You can continue to add comments on an item, even if marked complete, until your self-assessment is submitted.

Inspire has reporting that shows exactly who has completed the Mid-Cycle step and who hasn't, so you can track participation and send reminders as needed. Performance Summary Report
